Your computer has issue: automatic restart after some minutes? This can be caused by many things, you need to test on both software and hardware to find out the reason and have a solution:
1. Physical HDD error (bad).
Maybe the program you are using attempt to access the file in the bad area make computer restart. In the other hand, Graphic Card, Memory (RAM) not fastened can cause the same issue, but it often displays the "Blue Screen Of Death" (BSOD).
* Solution: Go to Windows Explorer, select System drive (usually drive C), right click, select Properties, click on Tools tab, click "Check Now" at Error-checking to check drive's errors. You can use softwares from 3rd party to have a professional checking and repairing such as RepairDisk Manager of Raxco.
You need to backup your data, because it's the signal of an old HDD that nearly death.
2. High temperature in CPU case
- Maybe the CPU's fan broken, you need to check it, because this is the critical case that can damage the hardware system.
- Add more fan to case or use the water cooling system.
- Put the computer at the cool place can increase the lifetime of devices in system.
- Use Temperature Monitor programs.
3. The power supply is not stability
There are a lot of method to check the voltage that the power source supply for your computer. A good power supply must provide a "clean" power line to devices. Some people said that the more higher voltage is the best power supply but this is absolutely wrong. The stability of the power supply must be the highest priority. To monitor the voltage of the power supply, you can use some program such as Speedfan with features show graph by time.
Of course, the specific value of voltages given by the program just for referent. To have exact values, you must use specialized devices.
4. Virus
This is the possible issue. Many virus make the system restart all time. You need to have an Antivirus program that turn on the real-time protection, update newest virus database. After that, disconnect the network (LAN, Internet) and do Full scan. Some antivirus programs: Bitdefender Pro 10 Plus, AVG Antivirus, NOD32 Antivirus, Kaspersky Antivirus.
The worst case is you have to fresh install the system, but don't use the backup Ghost file to restore the system because the Ghost file maybe virus infected before you create the *.GHO file.
